The Arlington Housing Authority (AHA) provides rental assistance to eligible low-income persons, the elderly, and persons with disabilities. Although the rental assistance programs offered by AHA have different funding sources, eligibility requirements, and regulatory requirements, they all are designed to provide decent, affordable rental housing for eligible lower income persons.

Open Enrollment - The Arlington Housing Authority will accept applications for its Housing Choice Voucher program from 9:00 AM April 26, 2024 thru 3:00 PM on May 2, 2024.

Applicants currently on the WaitList from prior Open Enrollments will be terminated from the WaitList effective April 19, 2024 and must re-apply during this Open Enrollment Period. Notification will be sent using their last known email and mailing address to advise that their applications from a prior open enrollment will be terminated and they must reapply - no exceptions.

The AHA will only accept applications submitted electronically via the WaitListCheck website. To ensure the application process is fair and available to all, applications received will be randomly assigned their position on the WaitList, subject to local preferences. Time and date of application will not be used to establish an applicant's position on the WaitList. You can apply any time during the Open Enrollment period.

All applicants must have an active email address to apply. If you have an email account, you can use what you currently have. If you not, free email accounts are available through websites such as Google or Yahoo. (The Arlington Housing Authority does not endorse any provider). The email provided on the application will be used to communicate with the applicant throughout the year. It is important that applicants maintain an active email account and check correspondence frequently.
