Sculptor Otello Guarducci was an Italian-born artist who lived his adult life in the U.S. He spent a prodigiously productive life with many sculptures displayed in public buildings and private collections around the world, including the highly-regarded Rockefeller Collection. Never limiting himself, Guarducci’s works range from stone and bronze to steel.

“The Sea” (1980) is a painted steel sculpture. This abstract impression emulates the lines, movement, and color of the sea. The sculpture was donated in 1986 to the City of Arlington by Jean-Claude Perard.

For years this sculpture found a home at Ditto Golf Course. After being refurbished, it was relocated to its current location at the Meadowbrook Sculpture Garden, 249-201 Willis Ave, Arlington, TX 76010.
