Arlington is celebrating Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. with a variety of events. Friday night includes an awards ceremony. Saturday features a step show and poetry reading. Sunday will see a special service at First Baptist Arlington all leading up to a day of service Monday, with volunteers gathering at Mission Arlington. Globe Life Park is taking on a new look. The XFL Renegades move in next month, and this weekend they're showing how the baseball field was transformed for football. Stop by the park Saturday from noon until 4 p.m. for a free look. You can also purchase Renegades tickets while you're there.
Charm school is open Saturday thanks to Arlington Parks and Recreation. Participants will learn to dance and style their hair while also completing a special craft. The event is at Dottie Lynn Recreation Center from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Registration is $15 at the link above.
Enjoy a night under the stars, full of campfire stories and treats. The Friends of O.S. Gray Natural Area are hosting a Star Party Saturday at 6:30 p.m. Come try a variety of telescopes, look at visible planets, constellations, stars, and chat with astronomers from the Fort Worth Astronomical Society about astronomy and their equipment. Or have a listen as storytellers weave tales of the outdoors around the campfire. The event is free.

Experience the work of German Renaissance master printmaker Albrecht Dürer at the Arlington Museum of Art. The exhibit features some of Dürer's most celebrated work, credited with transforming printmaking into an art form all its own. The Museum is open Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. and Sunday from 1-5 p.m. Admission is $10 for adults and $5 for students and seniors. Children 12 and under are free with a family.
