February means Black History Month in The American Dream City. Join the Arlington Public Library for a free festival. Then, start planning your spring break adventure with Arlington Parks & Recreation. It's a to-do list you won't mind tackling.

✅ Celebrate Black History Month

Head to the Arlington Library Southeast Branch Sunday, Feb. 23 for a Black History Month celebration. There will be lectures, interactive displays, live music and dance performances. The free event is designed for the entire family. The festival runs from 2-6 p.m. Click the link above for a full schedule of events.

✅ Make the most of spring break

No matter what your child is interested in, Arlington Parks & Recreation has a spring break camp they're sure to love. From cooking to tennis, use the week to help your child find a new passion — or just enjoy their time away from school. Click the link above for a list of options.

✅ Make sure your lost pet gets home

Arlington Animal Services is offering free microchips to a limited number of pets. The first ten Arlington pets at Arlington Animal Services Feb. 28 between 10 a.m. and noon will receive a free microchip.

✅ Save water (and money!)

Arlington Water Utilities is offering free sprinkler gauge kits to help you save water and money. To get yours, visit Arlington Water Utilities Customer Service, the Lake Arlington Branch Library or River Legacy Living Science Center. The offer is good while supplies last.
