Bring the whole family to the Downtown Library Friday to explore a room of recycled materials and supplies. Choose the materials you want to use, how you want to use them and make something amazing together. There will also be activities available including the marble run wall, button maker, Dash + Dot robots, perler beads and 3D pens. The studio is open from 4-5:30 p.m.
See the next great artists before they go mainstream. Arlington ISD students are now showing their work at the Arlington Museum of Art as part of National Youth Art Month. You'll find a variety of work from paintings to pottery. Admission is free. The Museum is open Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. and Sunday from 1-5 p.m.
Throw on something green, grab the family and head Downtown Saturday for J. Gilligan's St. Patrick's Day Pre-Party. The restaurant and bar will have family activities, live music and a late-night DJ. The doors open at 10:30 a.m.
After you're done at J. Gilligan's, walk to Hooligans to keep the party going. The pub is offering green beer, swag and drink specials Saturday starting at 2 p.m.
Six Flags Over Texas is going all out for spring break with special shows and extended hours. The park is open daily through March 22.
Enjoy the sounds of Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers Friday night at Arlington Music Hall. "Petty Theft" play all the hits starting at 8 p.m. Tickets are $14-$35.
Texas Live! is offering a new option for nightlife. Head to the entertainment venue Saturday starting at 11 p.m. DJ Scott Harris Regime is sure to get the party going. The event is free for adults 21 and up.
Theatre Arlington continues its cabaret series Saturday with a performance by Leslie Hopton-Hones. The singer will perform a mix of country, rock, soul and Broadway classics. The show starts at 8:30 p.m. Tickets are $11.
Make new friends and have fun at the Downtown Library's monthly program about Japanese pop culture, Japan Otaku Day. Whether it's learning how to write and speak Japanese, testing your otaku skills with some anime Jeopardy, learning about different Japanese holidays, or just making some crafts, Japan Otaku Day is here for you. Cosplay is always welcome, so come dressed to impress. For grades 7th - 12th. No registration required. The event runs from 2:30-4 p.m Saturday.
Wrap up spring break with a mix of learning and fun. River Legacy Living Science Center is hosting its Creepy Crawlers class Friday from 11:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. Your child can see everything from spiders to cockroaches up close. Tickets are $2 per person. You can purchase them in-person starting at 10:30 Friday morning.
