The Arlington ISD will distribute more than 12,000 devices for students Friday and Saturday during Device Days, which will get technology into the hands of district students who don’t have it.

Devices will be distributed at all 78 Arlington ISD campuses with students in Pre-K through 2nd grade receiving an iPad and students in 3rd – 12th grade getting Chromebooks at their home campuses.

The Arlington ISD launched the At-Home Learning Hub online resource earlier this week. The district is asking all students to engage in at-home learning activities during the school closure and knows that all students don’t have access to technology.

The technology for the students comes at no cost and parents had to register by Thursday morning to be eligible for a device for their child. The technology will be distributed by essential Arlington ISD employees with a plan in place to ensure social distancing during the distribution times. Additional distribution times will be available next week for parents who could not attend this week.
