Library closure

Editor's note: To ensure the health and safety of our patrons and staff all Arlington Public Library locations will remain closed through April 30, 2020, per the City’s Disaster Declaration.

To ensure the health and safety of our patrons and staff all Arlington Public Library locations will remain closed through Friday, April 3, 2020, per City Council's Disaster Declaration.

During this time, we encourage the community to utilize our FREE digital content and databases. Patrons can access audiobooks, ebooks, digital magazines, academic services, and even foreign language courses.

Though we are closed, our book drops will remain open for patrons to return items throughout our seven library locations. Items currently checked out will not be charged late fees. During this time, patrons can continue to check out our digital content if they have fines under $100. All fines can be paid online or in-person once we are back in service. All library accounts will have their expiration dates extended 30 days after we reopen.

Arlington, Kennedale and Mansfield residents can obtain a library card by calling us at 817-459-6900 Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. They can also apply for a card online by filling out an eCard application. Applicants will instantly receive a temporary eCard account. This can be used to access our online resources and databases.

All programs and events are canceled until further notice. We will be offering virtual programming, arts and crafts activities and much more through our Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts. Meeting rooms will not be available to the public. If you have paid a meeting room fee, that fee will be refunded. Refunds take approximately 14 business days.

If you have any further questions about your account or need assistance accessing our digital resources, please call us at 817-459-6900 Monday through Friday from 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

For more information on prevention and the Stay Home, Work Safe order please refer to the City of Arlington’s coronavirus webpage. We miss all of our patrons and appreciate everyone's support and understanding during this time.
