Pink Floyd Laser Show at UT Arlington Planetarium

The music of legendary rock band "Pink Floyd" combines forces with amazing visual effects this Saturday, June 27 at UT Arlington Planetarium! This incredible laser show kicks off in the evening at 7 p.m. and runs every Saturday this summer until August 22. The Planetarium, located inside the Chemistry & Physics Building (700 Planetarium Place), offers live stargazing and prerecorded programs to the public, school groups, and UT Arlington students all year round. Tickets may be purchased at the ticket booth, 30 minutes before each public show. Advance ticket sales are not available.

CATS Arlington Presents Sleeping Beauty Kids

The sleeping Disney princess, her fairy friends and her handsome prince face off against the evil Maleficent! Songs from the beloved film, including "Once Upon a Dream," accompany fun new songs like "Maleficent!" and "A Little Magic Now" to bring a fresh telling of the story to a new generation of kids and families. Tickets are selling fast. There will be two performances both Friday and Saturday (June 26-27), one at 10:30 a.m. and another at 1 p.m. Be sure to claim your seats for just $5 at the CATS Black Box located at 602 E. South St. in Downtown Arlington.

USTA Texas Sectional Qualifying Tournament

Come out and see young tennis hopefuls fight for their dream of earning a spot in the US Open! The USTA Texas Sectional Qualifying Tournament is hosted once again this year at Arlington Tennis Center. The 14 champions or top available finishers in each division advance to US Open National Playoffs Championship events. The tournament has been underway since Wednesday and will continue through Saturday, June 27. Qualifying runs from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day. Arlington Tennis Center is located at 500 W. Mayfield Rd. in The American Dream City. We hope to see you out there!

Green Mountain Energy 2015 Summer Concert Season at Levitt Pavilion

It's time for more free summer concerts at the Levitt Pavilion! This year's Green Mountain Energy 2015 Summer Concert Season continues Thursday, June 25 with The Royal Southern Brotherhood. The band's founder Cyril Neville is known for his amazing vocals and percussion skills as a member of the Grammy Award-winning Neville Brothers and Rock ‘n' Roll Hall of Fame nominees, the Meters. On Friday, June 26, it's Dallas-based singer/songwriter Larry (g)EE, followed by the country/rock band Walt Wilkins & the Mystiqueros on Saturday and the world famous Glenn Miller Orchestra takes the stage on Sunday. All concerts start at 8 p.m. The Levitt Pavilion's Summer Concert Series continues every Thursday through Sunday until July 12. For more information, please call 817-543-4308.

Arlington Museum of Art Presents Toulouse-Lautrec and La Vie Moderne: Paris 1880-1910

Art lovers can check out a new exhibit at Arlington Museum of Art in Downtown this weekend! The exhibit contains almost 200 pieces from avant-garde Post-Impressionist artists working in a new French "modern" style. Built around the work of Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec, painter of scenes and artists from the famed Paris theatre the Moulin Rouge, this expansive exhibit will explore the anti-establishment movement among artists seeking alternative means to bring their art to a broad public and break out of the traditional molds. The exhibit is open to the public until Sunday, August 16, 2015.

Fantasy in Sand

Fantasy in Sand featuring The Wonderful Wizard of Oz is a unique family experience that tells the story of characters we all know so well - Dorothy, Toto, the Wizard, the Wicked Witch of the West, the Scarecrow and more - through intricately carved sand sculptures, some of which are 20 feet tall. Tickets are on sale now at Arlington.org/fantasyinsand. General admission tickets are $19.99 with discounts available for kids (ages 11 and under), active military and groups. The experience is located at Parking Lot F by Globe Life Park in Arlington and will run through Sunday, August 23. The experience will stay open late on weekend nights when the Texas Rangers play home games so baseball fans may enjoy both events while in Arlington.
