Think you've got talent?

The Do It For Durrett Foundation is holding a talent competition 7 p.m. June 23 at the Cholula Porch overlooking Globe Life Park in Arlington.

The foundation, which is dedicated to honoring how sports reporter Richard Durrett lived, is asking the public to send in 30-second video clips of their performances. A select few will be invited to perform at the talent competition, where the judges will include Texas country star Randy Rogers and Texas Rangers pitchers Colby Lewis and Derek Holland.

Video clips can be sent to [email protected].

Other activities include live and silent auctions as well as auctioning off of dates with the likes of Holland and Rangers outfielder Delino DeShields.

There will also be live and silent auctions as well as the auctioning off of dates with the likes of Holland and Rangers outfielder Delino DeShields. Auction items include event tickets and one-of-a-kind memorabilia from some of the biggest names in football, baseball, basketball and hockey.

Chuck Morgan, the voice of the Rangers will emcee.

The Do It For Durrett Foundation raises money for families impacted by sudden loss. This year's event will benefit the family of Julian Madison. Madison, who was known to many as a DJ for the Dallas Cowboys on rally days at AT&T Stadium, was studying for his PhD in counseling when he died suddenly last year at the age of 39.

Madison and his wife Gabrielle were in the process of adopting two children. Gabrielle moved forward with the adoption of Alma, 6, and King, 2.

" He was a very giving person," Gabrielle Madison said. " When I say that, I mean he was giving of his time, his resources, his knowledge and his network. He did that all the time. He was very big into helping others. That's what I want my kids to know."

Tickets for the event are on sale now at doitfordurrett.com.
