BBQ Grills
Charcoal burners, LP gas cooking devices and other open flame cooking devices cannot be operated on combustible balconies or within 10 feet of combustible construction. No storage of LP on balconies, under stairs, or near buildings that includes in use/not in use.
Examples:
Cannot be on a balcony of an apartment complex.
Cannot be placed next to a wall of a business or under an overhang of a business, must be moved away from the building 10 feet.
How to dispose of fireworks and ammunition
Fireworks are illegal in the City of Arlington. By ordinance the possession, manufacture, storage, sale, handling and use of fireworks are prohibited. Wildfires, structure fires and personal injury are common results of illegal fireworks use.

Fire Pits
• Outdoor burning within Arlington City Limits is restricted.
• Trench burning only is permitted with a permit.
• Recreational fires – cannot be conducted within 25 feet of a structure or combustible material.
• Fire Pit – No larger than 3x3x3, 25 feet from combustible structure. Must have water source to extinguish fire. Fire must be watched until it is completely out.
• Bonfires are prohibited within city limits.
• Unauthorized Burning/Building of fires for purpose of burning trash, leaves, grass clippings or debris is prohibited.
TRENCH BURNING ONLY IS PERMITTED
How to obtain a burn permit:
1. Submit a plan of the burn site to the Fire Prevention Division along with a letter of approval from the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality. Specify location for burn trenches with “X” on the plan provided. 2. An on-site inspection will be made by a Fire Prevention Inspector. 3.
