A former Arlington High School athlete is in the news for securing a trip to the Rio Olympics this summer.
NBC 5 aired a story this weekend on Tervel Dlagnev, a former wrestler for Arlington who earned his ticket to Rio Saturday night at the U.S. Olympic trials in Iowa.
Dlagnev was one of the first three athletes to qualify for the U.S. Olympic team.
Dlagnev also competed in the London Olympics four years ago but did not medal, according to the NBC 5 report.
