Dry Week Ahead, Recent Rainfall Still Impacting City Parks

The rain is finally clearing up, but it will be a few days before the impact of these past storms has gone away.

Experiencing flooding and fallen debris, the following parks have been closed until clean-up crews can clear away remains and the water level recede.

The parks included are Richard Simpson Park, Bowman Spring, Tails 'N Trails Dog Park, River Legacy Park, and Village Creek Historical Area/Bob Findley.

Forecasted Dates of Opening

Richard Simpson Park: Monday, June 1 - After 4 p.m.

Bowman Springs: Tuesday, June 2 - After 5 p.m.

Tails 'N Trails Dog Park: Wednesday, June 3 - After 10 a.m.

River Legacy Park: Next Wednesday, June 10 *

Village Creek Historical Area/Bob Findley: Still to be decided. Stay tuned for updates.*

*Both River Legacy Park and Village Creek Historical Area/Bob Findley are still experiencing heavy flooding and will take some time before they reopen.
