Outdoor Storytime at River Legacy Living Science Center

Come celebrate stories and nature with the Arlington Public Library in a special outdoor storytime 1:30 p.m. Friday at River Legacy. Please register with River Legacy at Storytime at River Legacy - Arachnids. If it is raining or the temperature is below 45 degrees, the program will be cancelled.  Please check calendar for program cancellations. Registration is required.

The Piano Lesson at Theatre Arlington

The drama The Piano Lesson graces the Theatre Arlington stage at 7:30 p.m. Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. Then at 2:00 p.m. on Sundays. The play runs until Sunday, May 15, 2022. The Piano Lesson is the winner of the 1990 Pulitzer Prize for Drama & Drama Desk Award, Outstanding New Play. It is 1936, and Boy Willie arrives in Pittsburgh from the South in a battered truck loaded with watermelons to sell. He has an opportunity to buy some land down home, but he must come up with the money right quick. He wants to sell an old piano that has been in his family for generations, but he shares ownership with his sister, and it sits in her living room. She has already rejected several offers because the antique piano is covered with incredible carvings detailing the family’s rise from slavery. Boy Willie tries to persuade his stubborn sister that the past is past, but she is more formidable than he anticipated. The act is appropriate for ages 10 and up. Grad Nite at Six Flags Over Texas

Six Flags Over Texas Grad Nite takes place 6:00 p.m., Friday, May 13, 2022. With once-in-a-lifetime experiences like world class coasters, a high energy dance area with a live DJ, a catered meal – and the party doesn’t stop there. Exclusive to seniors and chaperones, Grad Nite lets your grads celebrate all night long in a safe and controlled environment. Rangers faceoff against Red Sox

Your hometown Rangers begin a three-game homeset at Globe Life Field against the Boston Red Sox. Game times are slated for 7:05 p.m. Friday, May 13, 2022, 6:05 p.m. Saturday, May 14, 2022, and 1:35 p.m. Sunday, May 15, 2022. Ticket information can be found here. 

Levitt Pavilion’s Free Concert Series continues 

The Levitt Pavilion’s Concert Series continues Friday, May 13, 2022 and Saturday, May 14, 2022. Friday night enjoy indie-folk music from Mountain Natives and Seryn. Then Saturday night, Latin music stars Carlos Ramos and La Santa Cecilia take the stage. It all gets kicked off at 7:30 p.m. each night. Bring your lawn chairs, blankets, and beverages. Food trucks will be available along Abram Street. 

Duo of Musical Acts at Arlington Music Hall

 ZZ Tex & Lone Star Skynyrd come to Arlington Music Hall 8:00 p.m. Friday, May 13, 2022. Tickets can be found here. Lone Star Skynyrd is a group of well-seasoned, Dallas based musicians who came together to accurately replicate this music note for note. With a deep well of talent, and a dedication to authentically replicating Lynyrd Skynyrd’s iconic sound, Lone Star Skynyrd has quickly become the top Lynyrd Skynyrd tribute band in Texas.

Arlington Animal Services’ Mobile Pet Adoption Event 

Join Arlington Animal Services for a tail-wagging, family-friendly, pet-saving community event 10:00 a.m. Saturday, May 14, 2022 inside PetSmart, located at 203 E. Interstate 20 Hwy.  Adorable adoptable pets looking for new homes will be available at the mobile adoption unit for immediate adoption! Visit with adoptable cats available inside PetSmart! NTSC defends homefield at Choctaw Stadium

The North Texas Soccer Club faces off against the Whitecaps FC 4:00 p.m. Saturday, May 14, 2022 at Choctaw Stadium. Tickets can be purchased in advance on NTSC website. 

Feral Cat Sunday

Arlington Animal Services is having a special Trap-Neuter-Return event for feral cats in Arlington. See printable flyer with important TNR event participation guidelines. The first 20 cats to arrive between 8-9 a.m. are eligible for these free clinics. Only the first 20 Arlington feral cats will be accepted, and only one feral cat per trap. Asian Heritage Celebration at Levitt Pavilion
