Fall is just around the corner and so is the fun! Mark your calendar for these upcoming September events with Arlington Parks and Recreation.

Parents’ Night Out – Friday, September 9

Calling all parents, you deserve a nice evening out! Come drop off your children here at Cliff Nelson Recreation Center from 6-9 PM. Children will be busy enjoying awesome recreational activities throughout the night while you get to sit back and relax! Ages 5-12 are invited and the cost is $20 per child.

The East Cake Off – Saturday, September 24

Come put your baking skills to the test at East Library and Recreation Center’s friendly cake competition! You will get to make friends, create yummy cakes and have fun! The Cake Off will be from 10 AM – 2 PM on September 24. Ages 5-12 are invited to join, and the cost is $20 per participant.

Splash & Dash Junior Triathlon – Sunday, September 25

*The Splash & Dash Junior Triathlon event has been canceled.

Join us for the First Annual EAST Splash & Dash Junior Triathlon on September 25 from 7:30-10:30 AM! Athletes will swim laps in the indoor pool before heading outside to bike and run around Bob Cooke Park. Distances will be determined by age. $35 registration fee includes finisher’s medal and post-race snacks. Register by September 16 to guarantee your spot.

Aging Well Expo – Thursday, September 29

The Aging Well Expo for 50+ adults is a free informational one-day event that brings businesses and the community together. It's a chance to interact with over 100 health professionals and attend a variety of interesting presentations on wellness. There will be fitness demonstrations, entertainment, speakers, and health screenings. This year’s Aging Well Expo will be held on September 29 at the Esports Stadium Arlington & Expo Center from 9 AM – 2 PM. Attendees must pre-register by September 15 to receive a free lunch.
