The U.S. Department of Transportation’s Federal Aviation Administration will award nearly $1 billion from President Biden’s Bipartisan Infrastructure Law funding to 85 airports across the country, which includes the Arlington Municipal Airport, to improve terminals of all sizes.

The Arlington Municipal Airport serves corporate, cargo, flight training and general aviation aircraft and is on pace to see more than 120,000 aircraft operations this fiscal year, Airport Manager Trent Ballard said. The Airport, which will receive a $540,000 federal grant, generates about $236 million in economic impact for the city and accounts for approximately 906 jobs related to airport activity.

You can read more about the Municipal Airport’s infrastructure grant in the latest edition of the Enhance Regional Mobility newsletter.
