Dog of the Week – Meet Murdock

This five-year-old male German Shepherd mix is tan and black in color and weighs 66 pounds. If you’re looking for a furry companion breed that is usually described as confident, courageous, intelligent and gentle, then Murdock would be worth consideration. He’s been in the shelter over 36 days so he’s ready for a new lease on life with a new pet guardian. He does great on leash and would love an excuse to practice more on “walkabouts” around the neighborhood-especially HIS neighborhood. Dreams of a new furrever home and the chance to play with toys in his own yard are ever present. Murdock loves being petted. You probably couldn’t find a more perfect foot warmer for the cool weather as he lays by your feet on a relaxing weekend. A family that will invest time to provide exercise for his physical and mental wellbeing is desirable. Murdock is a VIP pet with a reduced adoption fee. Meet Murdock at Dog Adoptions (DA) 21, his ID number is A5088852.

Second Dog of the Week – Meet Harris

This three years two months old male Shepherd mix is brown and white in color and weighs 50 pounds. Harris was brought into the shelter under protective custody that extended for a while, so he has now clocked in at over two months in shelter. Since being in the shelter, he’s found his way into the hearts of the staff and volunteers alike. He was recently neutered so he’s sporting the “cone of shame” (e-collar) but it doesn’t seem to slow him down. Despite the headgear he is still able to have fun. He has a big heart and an even bigger personality. Being adopted by a family that will endeavor to channel his energetic personality would be suitable. Don’t let Harris spend another day without a new pet guardian. His VIP status allows him to be adopted at a reduced fee. Meet Harris at Dog Adoptions (DA) 27, his ID number is A50686751.

Adoption fees include all core vaccinations, alteration, microchip and 30 days free pet insurance.
