Public Works Set to Begin Localized Drainage Improvements Projects at Glen Spring Drive, Storie Road and Turner Warnell Road
The Public Works Department’s Stormwater Division is pleased to announce the construction of the 2020 Localized Drainage Improvements Project to improve the drainage in your neighborhood.
This construction project will be completed at three different locations including: Glen Spring Drive, Storie Road, Turner Warnell Road at US 287 Business.

This project, which is estimated to be completed in December 2023, includes the following improvements:
- Detention pond construction
- Ditch and channel grading
- Storm drain and culvert installation
This project is part of the City’s efforts to mitigate neighborhood flooding and improve drainage infrastructure in Arlington.
Residents interested in learning more about this project are invited to participate in a public meeting at 6 p.m. Monday, May 8, 2023, in the Jillian M. Smith Community Room at the Arlington Police Department - South District Service Center located at 1030 SW Green Oaks Boulevard, Arlington, Texas 76017. There will be a short presentation followed by a question-and-answer session.
