The Redistricting Task Force was created to assist with advising the City Council on matters related to modifying single-member city council district boundaries in response to the 2020 U.S. Census. The Redistricting Task Force received a legal briefing on the laws applicable to Redistricting; studied and discussed the then-current district configurations; received input from the community; prepared recommendations on criteria and guidelines for submission of plans for the City Council’s consideration; and forwarded a recommended plan for the City Council’s consideration.

Members: 11 members

Appointment: Mayor and City Council

On November 16, 2021, the Task Force considered five maps and voted to approve Draft Map C as its official recommendation to the City Council. On December 14, 2021, the City Council voted to approve an ordinance adopting Draft Map C as the new map of Council districts.

Draft Map C is shown below along with other resources, including the current district map (based on the 2010 Census), thematic maps, and other data from the 2020 Census.
