How do I find out what days my trash or brush is collected?

Republic Waste holds the city contract for curbside trash removal. Trash removal occurs twice per week and those days vary depending on the part of town in which you live. Brush is collected at the same time as trash, however, it must be tied in four foot bundles, weighing less than 50 pounds each. Brush is collected at the rate of one cubic yard per pick up day. Bulky items such as old furniture and appliances can be scheduled for collection by calling Republic Waste at 817-317-2000. In the interest of saving landfill space, grass clippings may not be placed curbside for disposal.

If you are unsure of your schedule, contact Republic Waste at 817-317-2000 or visit the City of Arlington’s Garbage & Recycling website.

Who do I contact about my neighbor putting his trash out early?

Placing trash at the curb prior to 7 p.m. the day before collection is a violation of the Health Code. Trash attracts stray animals including rodents and can contribute to water pollution if washed into storm sewers.

To report a complaint, call 817-459-6777.
