UTA Spotlight: Students Musicians Sing, Strum and Shine at 'Battle of the Bands'

Greetings from The American Dream City! Be sure to tune into the newest installment of UTA Spotlight, a weekly news update featuring broadcasting students reporting on events, projects, announcements and other key news and happenings on the university campus and around Arlington.

This week’s stories include:

• As part of Black History Month, UTA Libraries and Multicultural Affairs presented the first "Black Hair-itage" panel to answer students' questions about black hair.

• UTA Libraries' "Tail Waggin' Days" continues to help students find stress relief on campus by interacting with therapy dogs.

• EXCEL Campus Activities hosted its fourth annual "Battle of the Bands" contest for students to enjoy live performances on campus.

Segments run every week during the semester on Arlington’s cable channel, Spectrum Channel 16 and AT&T U-Verse channel 99.
