Dog of the Week – Meet Maisy  

This one year, one month old female pit bull terrier mix is white and brindle in color and weighs 28 pounds. Need a bundle of joy to help you cope during the stressful holiday times—then Maisy could be the one for you! She is described as a well mannered girl having an irresistibly sweet personality. How better to spend the holidays than with a furry friend ready for a loving new furever home. She may seem ready to "take off" when you see the cutest "helicopter" tail wags of excitement. Like most canines, Maisy enjoys running and stretching her legs when she has the opportunity to be in the shelter play yard. Her Christmas wish would probably be for a loving family to adopt her and provide her with endless belly rubs. She would love running and playing with some children. Second Dog of the Week – Meet Griz

This three year, seven months old male Cane Corso mix is blue, white and tan in color and weighs 79 pounds. Griz is a real star this week. He was featured as the Arlington Police Department Furever Friday pick of the week. He is so special that we wanted to spotlight him again. Griz is a wonderful dog but may be overlooked due to being heartworm positive. He has a very friendly and loving demeanor and really loves attention. Having the chance to have fun with you is at the top of his list. He has a face only a new pet guardian could love with a little extra "drool" to boot. Griz must have gone through a lot before coming to the shelter as evidenced by a healed wound on his back. After having spent over a month in the shelter, he is eager to find his new furever home.
