Tree-mendous Traveling Exhibit, Forever Forest, Opens at River Legacy Nature Center
Forever Forest, an immersive traveling exhibit that demonstrates how your everyday life connected to forests through the ways you live, work and play, is open to the public at River Legacy Nature Center.
Patrons can enjoy hands-on focused learning on forest life and sustainable harvesting. Climb, crawl, and slide on treetops, become a conductor for a day and work a kid-sized replica of a Union Pacific engine, or work together to build a house as you learn about the many things wood is used for.
“It really teaches our upcoming environmental stewards all about the proper way to sustain our forest, and obviously, what else we receive from them at the same time,” said Shannon Porter, Executive Director of River Legacy Nature Center.
The exhibition is open 9 a.m. until 5 p.m., Monday through Saturday. It ends Saturday, Feb. 10, 2023. Click here for more information on ticketing.
This exhibit was produced by Omaha Children’s Museum and presented by Union Pacific and North American Wholesale Lumber Association.
