PDMS Design Group, an architecture and in-house MEP (mechanical, electrical and plumbing) engineering firm specializing in the retail, dental and industrial sectors, has been in Arlington since 1993. Registered in all states (excluding Alaska), their local clientele includes the Parks Mall, Arlington Highlands, Arlington Downs, Salcomp and various other retail and industrial spaces in the metroplex. They also work with over 20 clients throughout the country.

Founded in 1987 by Arlingtonian Jack Simms, PDMS Design Group has been family-owned since its inception. Each iteration of the company’s ownership has included a husband-wife duo, which continues to this day with CEO, Robin Rowntree and her husband Randall Rowntree, Executive Vice President, and Chief Operating Officer.

“We’re closely held, family-owned, and women-owned,” explained Randall Rowntree. “We take pride in that because family-owned means a lot to us, and it meant a lot to the folks before us as well. Thirty-seven years later, we’re still on the same track,”
