Pets of the Week

Dog of the Week - Meet Kitten

This just over two-years-old female Pit Bull Terrier mix is brown, red, and white in color and weighs 55 pounds. No, we are not "kitten" around that we have a dog named Kitten. This name seems to fit her as she wants to be treated as royalty like many feline friends do. She doesn't seem to be high maintenance though (like some kittens/cats) and is ready to greet anyone with love and licks to boot. She walks well on a leash and LOVES being outside. Now that she has been moved up to the adoption mall, Kitten will have a chance to socialize with our volunteer friends. She is sure to become a favorite of theirs. The length of time she has spent in the shelter has earned Kitten VIP status with a reduced adoption fee. All other adoptions are on special for $5 to $25 when you select an egg during our egg extravaganza during the month of March. Meet Kitten at Dog Adoptions (DA) 19. Her ID number is A55416504.

Second Dog of the Week - Meet Dandelion

This just over two-years-old female Pit Bull Terrier mix is fawn and white in color and weighs 51 pounds. This active canine has not had the opportunity to move up to the adoption mall due her vocal tendencies and being full of energy. Being in the kennels upfront with a glass window just seems to intensify vocalizations so she is hanging out in the back. BUT when we got her out for a photo shoot, Dandelion showed that she is highly treat motivated and displayed the fact she knows "sit". She loves to run in the play yard spending her pent-up energy and following her nose while searching and exploring. While the luck of the Irish (St. Patrick's Day) has come and gone without her being adopted, Dandelion is still patiently waiting for a new pet adopter to come and seek her out. She has achieved VIP status so she can be adopted for a $5 adoption fee. Dandelion is currently in Dog Holding (DH) 415, with ID number A55454409.

Adoption fees include all core vaccinations, alteration and microchip.
