Pets of the week

Dog of the Week – Meet Howie

This seven-year-old male American Foxhound mix is white, red and black in color and weighs 53 pounds. This dog's theme song could be "Ain't nothing but a hound dog....." but without the "crying all the time". He's a great dog that loves being outside and hanging out, sniffing everything he comes in contact with and watching the goings on around him. He also loves to crawl in a "hooman" lap to see if he fits. Lounging about seems to take him to his "happy place". Howie does great on leash, and he relishes the idea of meeting new people as it is so much fun for him. This happy dog is really needing a new pet guardian to take care of him in his golden years. Due to being tested as heartworm positive and his length of time in the shelter, Howie has received the VIP pet designation that comes with a reduced adoption fee. Additionally, information will be provided to the adopter about sponsored heartworm treatment. Meet Howie at Dog Adoptions (DA) 16, his ID number is A52130551.

Second Dog of the Week – Meet Dino

This two-year-old Siberian Husky, Shepherd mix is brown and tan in color and weighs 68 pounds. Calling all paleontologists (and everyone else)—do we have a "dino" for you! This canine specimen is fun loving and really smart to boot. You can tell by his photo he loves to stick his tongue out showing just how silly he can be. Hanging out with staff members or volunteers is one of his favorite activities. He walks well on a leash and is just looking for a family to take walks with and love and cuddle with. His adventurous spirit is ready to be shared with his new pet guardian. Having attained VIP status due to his length of time in the shelter, Dino is ready to be adopted by anyone whether they are a paleontologist or not. He's not picky. Meet Dino at Dog Adoptions (DA) 5, his ID number is A52170966.

Adoption fees include all core vaccinations, alteration and microchip.
