Fall is just around the corner and so is the fun! Mark your calendar for these upcoming September events with Arlington Parks and Recreation.

Eastside Chalk Walk – Saturday, September 9

This family day in Bob Cooke Park combines fitness, the outdoors, and art! We’ll provide the chalk if you bring your creativity. Take a walk along the trails and find the perfect spot to draw your positive and inspirational artwork. Then, continue around the park to take in the sights of other people’s creations. We will have light refreshments and raffles for our participants. This event begins at 9 AM and is free to attend.

Family Nature Hour: Stick Boat Regatta – Friday, September 15

Join us at Cliff Nelson Recreation Center for a fun evening in nature from 6-7 PM! For this family friendly adventure, we will be collecting supplies from nature and building stick boats to float in our pond. This event is FREE to attend.

Health Resource Day (50+ yrs) – Friday, September 15

Seniors, come by East Library and Recreation Center from 2-4 PM to meet 10+ vendors who want to help you with housing, utilities, transportation, food, medical, insurance, well-being and more! We will have free snow cones for visitors to enjoy while they mingle. No registration required.

Tamale Workshop – Saturday, September 16

Hola amigos! Join us for this fantastic and yummy tamale making workshop at East Library and Recreation Center. We'll provide the supplies and have an instructor help guide you to make your very own batch of tamales. At the end of the class, you'll be able to take your tasty work home! Participants under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

Day Off Day Trip to Dave & Buster’s – Friday, September 22

Looking for an action-packed day out for your 5-12 year old? Join us on a day trip to Shipley Donuts and Dave & Buster's! Drop-off time is at 9 AM and pick-up is at 5 PM at The Beacon Recreation Center. We'll start off the day by treating our taste buds to some of the best donuts in town, then we'll head to Dave & Buster's for a day full of games, rides, and attractions that your kids won't want to miss! Lunch is included in the cost.

Teen Night at Dottie – Friday, September 29

Join us at Dottie Lynn Recreation Center for a night of games and fun, just for teens! Build connections, share trends, and challenge your friends to some competitive fun. Create memories worth a thousand views! The fun begins at 6 PM and is open to ages 13-17.
