Time is running out for residents who meet income qualifications to apply for federally-funded help with their water bill. The Low Income Household Water Assistance Program will stop taking applications on Dec. 31, 2023.

To help customers apply for the program before the deadline, Arlington Water Utilities and Community Action Partners will host an in-person intake session from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 8, at the East Library and Recreation Center, 1817 New York Avenue.

What should you bring?

  • A picture identification
  • Your electric, gas or water bills
  • Proof of U.S. legal residency for all members in your household (a passport, birth certificate, green card)
  • Your proof of household income in the past 30 days for all household members (award letters, check stubs, or pension letters)

Assistance is also available for Arlington residents who meet income guidelines at TexasUtilityHelp.com. Click here to apply. Customers who receive water bill payment assistance from TexasUtilityHelp.com will not be granted additional water bill payment assistance through Community Action Partners.
