Theatre Arlington will open its 41st Season with the musical comedy Altar Boyz on Friday, September 13 at 8:00 pm. The show is directed by veteran director Andy Baldwin with music direction by Michael Plantz and choreography by Laura West Strawser.

Altar Boyz is a foot-stomping, rafter-raising, musical comedy about a fictitious Christian boy-band on the last night of their national 'Raise the Praise' tour. The Boyz are five all-singing, all-dancing heartthrobs: Matthew, Mark, Luke, Juan and Abraham. With their tight harmonies and spectacular choreography, the Altar Boyz will delight you. As they perform their signature hits such as "Rhythm In Me,""The Calling,"and "I Believe,"the Boyz question their loyalty to each other and finally deliver a message of unity, that "there is no star as bright as its constellation, no harmony in a single voice."

Theatre Executive Director, Norman Ussery said, "this is one of the best feel-good musicals in the repertoire of recent musicals. It is sure to send you out humming with a smile on your face. Our cast is as engaging as the original off-Broadway company."

The show features: Matt Purvis as Matthew, Phillip Cole White as Mark, Dalton Hutto as Luke, Angel Velasco as Juan and Tim McCarthy as Abe.

The production opens September 13, 2013 and runs through October 6, 2013, Thursdays at 7:30 pm, Friday & Saturday evenings at 8:00 pm and Sunday matinees at 2:00 pm. Tickets are $ 22, available online at www.TheatreArlington.org or by calling 817-275-7661
(HOURS: Monday - Friday 1 - 5:30 pm) Opening night catering is sponsored by BLUE MESA.
