Kryslin Kemp, a junior on Arlington High School’s girls basketball team, has been selected as the City of Arlington’s Student-Athlete of the Month for December 2023.

Due to an injury, Kemp has been thrust into a new role as point guard this season, a role her coach says she excelling at. 

“She’s only a junior on the team, but from the freshmen to the seniors, people respect KJ (Kryslin) because they see her work ethic,” said Will Floyd, Arlington Head Girls Basketball Coach. “She’s doing a very good job of setting the standard of our culture as we’re building this program up.”

Kemp, whose favorite subject is history, hopes to continue her basketball in college and major in Kinesiology.
