The City of Arlington is pleased to offer a broad range of valuable benefits to our retirees.

Employees are eligible to retire if they meet the rules for retirement under the Texas Municipal Retirement System (TMRS):

  1. You have 20 years of service.
  2. You have 5 years of service and you are age 60 or older.

Retired employees are eligible for benefits if they meet the following criteria:

  1. You retire under TMRS.
  2. You are enrolled in benefits at the time of retirement.
  3. Your retiree enrollment is completed by the end of the month in which you retire.

  1. Price Comparison Tool - An internet-based price comparison tool is available to enrollees on www.myuhc.com and contains personalized in-network and out-of-pocket cost information for covered healthcare items and services. 
  2. Machine Readable Files - Machine-readable files (MRFs) are available to enrollees at https://transparency-in-coverage.uhc.com and contain the UHC negotiated rates with in-network providers for covered healthcare items and services as well as allowed amounts paid to out-of-network providers.
