Retiree Announcements

If you enrolled in medical coverage through BlueCross BlueShield (BCBS), your medical card was shipped between December 19 and December 23, 2024 and your medical coverage will begin on January 1, 2025 as scheduled. If you do not receive your medical card by January 1, 2025, you can access your electronic card through the BCBS website at BlueCross BlueShield or on the mobile app at https://www.bcbstx.com/member/account-access/mobile. Cards are issued in your name and will not include the name of any covered family members. If you are covering family members, this will be indicated as “Family” coverage on your card. For questions regarding your medical card and coverage, please call BCBS at 844-657-2549. BCBS will be able to provide full customer service support starting January 1, 2025.

Transparency in Coverage (TiC) Disclosure:

1. Price Comparison Tool - An internet-based price comparison tool is available to enrollees on www.myuhc.com and contains personalized in-network and out-of-pocket cost information for covered healthcare items and services. 
2. Machine Readable Files - Machine-readable files (MRFs) are available to enrollees at https://transparency-in-coverage.uhc.com and contain the UHC negotiated rates with in-network providers for covered healthcare items and services as well as allowed amounts paid to out-of-network providers.
