There are several areas within the city limits that are not serviced by city sewer. In these areas, the City of Arlington's Health Services regulates, permits, and monitors private on-site sewage systems. Health Services is also the designated representative for the Texas Commission On Environmental Quality, which is the agency that oversees on-site sewage systems throughout the state.
Prior to constructing, modifying, or repairing an on-site Sewage System, an application must be completed and the required information submitted to Health Services :
