About 66 people attended the Oct. 7 public meeting at the Arlington Convention Center to weigh in on the City of Arlington's plans to rebuild and enhance Abram Street from Collins Street to Cooper Street.
City of Arlington engineers answered questions and received public comments on the City's development design plans, which included proposed improvements for the project. The plan is subject to change with input from the Arlington community.
After a presentation at 6 p.m. attendees were given an opportunity to publicly share their thoughts and opinions about the project.
This project is connected to the Arlington City Council's priority of improving regional mobility, which will ultimately make the transportation connections within and beyond the City's borders more efficient.
Overall, the City will have $83.4 million in capital street construction in progress by early 2016
