The Arlington City Council, at its Oct. 16 meeting, directed staff to increase the resident notification distance for future natural gas well case public hearings from 600 feet to 1,320 feet, or a quarter-mile.

This action is intended to increase awareness to residents on natural gas well activities in their areas and to provide greater input by residents for gas well activities within Arlington.

The City of Arlington will implement the increase in notification distance immediately.
