Tony Rutigliano is living his American Dream as the owner of Urban Alchemy Coffee + Wine Bar, a coffee and artisan wine bar in Downtown Arlington.
Rutigliano, who previously served as the Downtown Arlington Management Corporation CEO and President, has partnered with his wife, Nicole Rutigliano, to make this dream a reality.
"I started dreaming about Urban Alchemy in 2015," Rutigliano said. "I kind of started thinking about what Arlington needed and that maybe I could help fill that void. My wife and I came up with the idea to open a wine bar. One thing led to another, and here we are."
Urban Alchemy, which opened in February 2018, is more than a bar. The venue continues to host wine tastings and dinners, art exhibits and live music, and other unique special events.
"People ask me all the time about our product at Urban Alchemy and it's not coffee, it's not wine, it's community," Rutigliano said. "In my mind, that's what we're trying to accomplish at Urban Alchemy. It's bringing people together."
