The City of Arlington's Office of Communication was honored to receive eight awards from the national organization, City-County Communications: Marketing Association, or 3CMA, for its video programming, marketing, photography and other community outreach efforts.
'We are humbled to have our work recognized by our peers,' said Marketing Communications Manager Jay Warren. 'And we're also grateful for the Arlington community's continued positive response to our communication efforts, which we've seen through increased engagement on social media, increased page clicks on the City's website and increased views on our YouTube channel.'
The Savvy Awards, held in conjunction with 3CMA's Annual Conference, recognize outstanding local government achievements in communications, public-sector marketing and citizen-government relationships. The Savvies salute skilled and effective city, county, agency or district professionals who have creatively planned and carried out successful innovations in communications and marketing. 3CMA accommodates local government organizations of all sizes and budget classes by judging entries in several different population groups.
More than 700 entries in 38 categories were received, according to the 3CMA website. The organization utilized volunteer judges from across the United States to review every entry and provide constructive comments on the winning entries.
During the September 8 ceremony, 68 first-place Savvy Awards were presented. 67 second-place Silver Circle Awards and 68 third-place Awards of Excellence were also presented, according to the 3CMA website.
