The University of Texas at Arlington men's golf team kicks off its season September 22 at the annual Maverick Open fundraising tournament.
The regular season begins on Sept. 25 at the Mark Simpson Colorado Invitational in Erie, Colo. in a three-day tournament.
"Maverick golf is looking forward to the start of our season with three new events this fall," Deane said. "We are going to Colorado, Rice and ULM for the first time. The team is excited about the change of venues and ultimately the opportunity to continue the winning started in the summer."
The fall portion of the calendar continues with three tournaments in October as UTA competes in the Bayou City Collegiate Classic (Pearland, Texas), the Royal Oaks Intercollegiate (Dallas, Texas) and the Duck Commander Intercollegiate (El Dorado, Ark.)
After the winter break, the Mavericks return to the course with a trip to California at the Wyoming Desert Intercollegiate on Feb. 20-21. UTA gets a taste of Sun Belt competition at the Louisiana Classic in Lafayette, La. on Feb. 27-28.
A tough March gets going in a three-day event in Las Colinas with the ORU Spring Break Shootout, the last of two tournaments in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, on March 13-16.
UTA heads to North Carolina for the Cape Fear National Intercollegiate and then to the Little Rock First Tee Classic to close out the month.
April heats up in Bastrop, Texas at the final tune-up for the conference championship at the Jim West Intercollegiate on April 10-11. The Sun Belt Championship returns to Destin, Fla. for its three-day tournament on April 23-25.
