Caleb Hicks, a senior on Lamar High School's golf team, has been selected as the City of Arlington's Student-Athlete of the Month for May 2018.
Hicks, a two-time state qualifier, finished third his sophomore year and 12th in his senior year. He is also graduating from Lamar as a three-time District Champion (2016-2018).
"Caleb is a dream kid as a coach," said Lamar Boys Golf Coach Gary Webb. "He's got a great work ethic. He's a great teammate and sets a great example for what we want our kids to be."
Hicks, whose favorite subject is history, has signed to play golf at the University of Texas at Arlington, where he plans to study business.
