Another year of free music is in the works in The American Dream City!
Mark your calendars now for the Levitt Pavilion's Summer Concert Season, which will run May 19 through July 23, and for the Fall Concert Season, which will run September 1 through October 22.
The Levitt's new concert days for both the summer and fall seasons will now be Friday, Saturday and Sunday. As always, concerts will begin at 8 p.m. with the exception of the July concerts after July 3; those will begin at 8:30 p.m.
The Summer Concert Season will include Family Movie Nights on Thursday nights. The Levitt Pavilion will announce those dates later.
The Downtown Arlington Center Stage Music Festival is moving this year from Memorial Day weekend to June 9-11, with three days of major headliners and venues around the Levitt offering free music before and after.
The Levitt is also planning its annual benefit for the fall in September or October as well as a second ticketed concert that would feature a well-known artist. Those ticketed events help the Levitt raise money to continue providing more than 50 free concert nights a year in the Arlington community.
Levitt favorites already booked for 2017, including Ambrosia, Uncle Lucius, Walt Wilkins & the Mystiqueros, and Ray Wylie Hubbard for the summer, and Brave Combo opening the Fall Concert Season. The Suffers also return this summer as part of the Levitt Foundation's National Tour.
During the concert season's planning stage, dates and artists are subject to change, but the 2017 Summer Concert Season calendar will be posted on the Levitt's website by mid-March.
