Arlington resident Charean Williams has covered the National Football League for 22' seasons, the past 16 chronicling the Dallas Cowboys and the NFL for the'Fort Worth Star-Telegram.
She also covers the Olympics for the Star-Telegram and has attended the past seven' Olympic Games, both winter and summer. Charean is currently covering the 2016 Summer Olympic Games in Rio.
One of her favorite moments covering the Olympics was seeing and getting the chance to write about Arlington resident Jeremy Wariner winning the gold medal in the 400 meters in the 2004 Summer Games.
In 2006, she became the first female selector for the Pro Football Hall of Fame and in 2009 became the first female president of the Pro Football Writers of America.
Charean grew up in' Beaumont, Texas, dreaming at a young age of covering the Dallas Cowboys and has been living out that dream since 1999. She now resides in Arlington, just a short drive away from ATT Stadium.
