Significant advances were made this fall on both the Globe Life Field and Texas Live! projects planned for Arlington"s Entertainment District.
Just weeks after the official groundbreaking of the Texas Rangers" $1.1 billion retractable-roof ballpark, the City of Arlington also celebrated the start of a $150 million Live! By Loews flagship hotel and convention center. Positioned between AT-T Stadium and the future Globe Life Field, the 300-room Live! by Loews hotel is set to open as part of Texas Live! In 2019.
Both of these transformative projects are featured in the latest edition of the Home Plate Update,a joint project by the City of Arlington"s Office of Communications and the Texas Rangers. This quarterly publication is dedicated to informing citizens about everything happening with the ballpark and Texas Live! development. Every edition will be produced in a digital format, allowing for layers of additional content like videos, graphics, links to websites and project documents, and other supporting materials.
In this fourth edition, you can also learn more about the massive excavation project to prepare for Globe Life Field"s construction, hear former Arlington Mayor Richard Greene talk about the excitement surrounding the new ballpark and also learn more about dlb Consultants, the firm hired by the Texas Rangers and The Cordish Companies to coordinate MWBE outreach for the $250 million Texas Live! Project.
