Tis the season! After four weeks of spirited voting by USA TODAY readers, Holiday in the Park at Six Flags Over Texas has been named Best Theme Park Holiday Event in Texas and third best in the nation.
Six Flags Over Texas launched Holiday in the Park in 1985. Today, the magical event is a time-honored tradition featuring all of the wonderful sights, sounds and tastes of the season in a fully immersive experience that includes more than two million twinkling lights, Texas-sized thematic displays, a thrilling sledding adventure on real snow, and the all-new hometown holiday experience-Merry Marketplace-the home of Jolly "Ol St. Nick.

This year's Holiday in the Park highlights include:
Deep in the Heart of Christmas!: It's a Texas-sized winter wonderland with more than 8.5 miles of mini lights; nearly 14,000 square feet of net lights; a giant Texas flag light canopy over 100 feet in length; Texas-sized ornaments; boots; star and a glittering holiday Texas flag, the Deep in the Heart of Christmas section proves that everything truly is bigger in Texas!
Holiday Tree of Trees Light Spectacular: Towering at nearly 60 feet tall, this combination of 70 Christmas trees is trimmed with thousands of lights dancing magically with computerized precision.
The Frosty Snowhill: Guests can immerse themselves on a thrilling sledding adventure while travelling down a hill made with real snow.
A Personal Visit to Santa's Outpost: Enjoy a special visit with Santa and share your Christmas wish.
Campfire Holiday S'Mores: Create memories and smiles while roasting this tasty treat at the Texas-sized fire pit.
Johnson's Creek Critter Corral: take in an up-close encounter with some furry friends.
