Mobile Pet Adoption Event
After the recent success of the "Clear the Shelter"event in Arlington, join Arlington Animal Services for another tail-wagging, family-friendly, pet-saving community event this Saturday, August 22! Adorable adoptable pets looking for new homes will be available for immediate adoption at the PetSmart in South Arlington from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. This event takes place on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays of every month. The South Arlington PetSmart is located at 203 E . Interstate I-20, Suite 101 in the Arlington Highlands. A special thanks to the Arlington Tomorrow Foundation, PetSmart, PetSmart Charities and our Arlington Animal Services volunteers for making this event possible every month!
Summer's almost over, but The Parks Mall at Arlington says there's still time for some fun when Kids Kamp hosts an end-of-summer carnival Thursday, August 20, 2015. From 11 am to 2 pm, there will be mascots making merry, jugglers tossing and twisting, artists painting faces or making balloon creatures and so much more! This event also includes a special performance by the Ramazini's clowns at 11:30 a.m. The first 150 kids to check in on the lower level in Center Court near the Guest Service Kiosk receive a goodie bag filled with little kid-style surprises, plus coupons and samples from The Parks Mall at Arlington retailers. There is no charge to attend and reservations are not needed.
Downtown Arlington is the place to be for music lovers this Friday and Saturday night at Grease Monkey Burger Shopon N. Mesquite Street! Fort Worth singer and songwriter Will Hobbs will be performing lots of good ole country tunes that you can two-step to on Friday, August 21, from 8:30-11 p.m. Then on Saturday, August 22 from 8:30-11, come out and listen to some great country acoustic tunes by Brad Hines! A new show opened last weekend at Theatre Arlington in downtown for you and your family to enjoy! "Mama Won't Fly"is described as a hilarious race against the clock that begins when Savannah agrees to get her feisty mother from Alabama to California in time for her brother's wedding. Savannah's problem: Mama won't fly. With only four days to get there, this determined daughter has no choice but to drive cross-country in Mama's vintage Buick. The show runs until Sunday, August 23. Thursday performances begin at 7:30 pm; Friday & Saturday at 8:00 pm; Sunday at 2:00 pm. Regular adult admission: $22. Discount for Seniors (62+) and full time Students: $20.

Glide with a group around Globe Life Park in Arlington, past Richard Greene Linear Park and Robert Cluck Linear Park and right by AT&T Stadium or book an exclusive tour inside the ballpark.
