Holiday Lights Parade

Get ready to light up Downtown Arlington this weekend! Arlington's annual Holiday Lights Parade is set to begin at 6 p.m. Saturday, December 9, 2017. Scott Cross, the University of Texas at Arlington Head Men's Basketball Coach is the parade grand marshal. But the fun begins hours earlier, with live music and reindeer games starting at 2 p.m. The traditional tree lighting in front of City Hall is set between 7 p.m. and 7:15 p.m., following the parade. Breakfast with Santa

Santa is stopping by this Saturday, December 9, 2017 from 8-11 a.m. to enjoy breakfast and other holiday fun activities with guests at Arlington Parks and Recreation's Cliff Nelson Recreation Center! Attendees will enjoy making festive crafts, watching live entertainment, taking photos with Santa and having a tasty pancake breakfast. The breakfast is $10 per person and registration is required. Minimum one adult per child's registration.

Florida Gulf Coast vs. UTA Men's Basketball- BLACKOUT GAME

Show your Maverick pride and support the UTA Men's Basketball team this Saturday, December 9, 2017 at College Park Center as the Mavericks take on Florida Gulf Coast. All fans will receive a free t-shirt for Saturday's BLACKOUT game and kids ages 18 and under can attend the game for free. Tip-off is at 2 p.m. CT and tickets can be purchased at www.utatickets.com. College Park Center is located at 600 S. Center Street, Arlington, TX 76019 in Downtown.

Grease for Greens 2017

Eco-Man and Arlington Water Utilities want to remind residents to prevent backed-up sanitary sewers and clogged pipes after this past Thanksgiving holiday by properly disposing of fats, oils, and grease. A great way to do this is to bring your used cooking oil to Grease for Greens at Tierra Verde Golf Club, 7005 Golf Club Dr. Arlington, TX 76001 from 8 AM - 12 PM on December 9th! The cooking oil will be used to make biodiesel to fuel our lawnmowers and you have a chance to win a free round of golf! (You do not have to be present to win. Drawings every hour, winners will be notified by phone/email).

Arlington Music Hall's Christmaspectacular!

After an enormously successful opening last December, the Arlington Music Hall invites residents and visitors to once again experience Christmaspectacular! this holiday season. This holiday musical adventure opens Friday, Dec. 1 and continues through Sunday, Dec. 10, 2017, in Downtown Arlington. This original production features sensational singers, dynamic dancers, charming children, kick lines, a beautiful Nativity, sparkling special effects and a visit from Santa himself. Enchant Christmas

The American Dream City is about to get a whole lot brighter with the U.S. debut of Enchant Christmas. Get lost in the world's largest light maze. Take photos around the largest Christmas tree in North Texas. In collaboration with the Texas Rangers and Arlington Convention & Visitors Bureau, Enchant Christmas illuminates the Texas skies through December 31, 2017. Hours of operation are 5:00pm-11:00pm, Tuesday through Sunday. Enchant will be closed December 24 and Mondays with the exception of December 18 and 25. Enchant will play in Lot F at Globe Life Park, 1000 Ballpark Way (on the corners of Copeland Road and AT&T Way).

Santa's Toy Factory at The Parks at Arlington Mall

Santa and his elves have set up an outpost of their North Pole Factory at The Parks at Arlington and they are requesting your help to test and build some exciting new toys for the holiday. Theatre Arlington presents Plain Tidings: The Holiday Edition of Forever Plaid

Forever Plaid is one of the most popular and successful musicals in recent memory and now the legendary Plaids have come back to Earth to spread yuletide joy with the greatest holiday hits of the ages. The show runs through December 17, 2017 at Theatre Arlington in Downtown. Tickets are available at www.theatrearlington.org.

Salvador Dali Exhibit at Arlington Museum of Art

Salvador Dali was a painter, designer, sculptor, writer and set designer. He was also a master engraver who could produce equally outstanding work in dry point, etching, woodcut or lithography. This exhibition features Dali's full series of Dante's The Divine Comedy, for which each of the lithographs presented required as many as 35 colors. There are a total of 101 pieces included in this exhibition. Salvador Dali: Visions of Eternity runs until January 21, 2018. For more information, please visit www.arlingtonmuseum.org.
