The Arlington Parks Department has partnered with Mission Continues volunteer, Scottie Gordon. The Mission Continues organization empowers veterans who are adjusting to life after the military to find purpose through community impact. Veterans are deployed on new volunteer missions within the community to inspire future generations.

Scottie has been volunteering with the department since November 2015. He serves approximately 20 hours per week, while attending school to get his Master 's Degree in Social Work. He has been a tremendous asset in special program developments for youth and teens. Scottie has also played a major role in the logistics and marketing side of department initiatives/special events .

We are honored and humbled to work Scottie each week. We look forward to working with more Mission Continues Fellows in the future.
