It's undeniable, winter is finally here. Grab your warmest winter coat and head to the Texas Christkindl Market next to Globe Life Park in Arlington.
Admission and parking is free every day and the market is open until Friday, December 23, 2016.

Friday, Dec. 9, Noon to 8 p.m.
Local country music darling Crystal Yates will open the stage with original music from her three records and holiday singles which were released on a compilation album this year. Later in the night, Wood Elementary's 6th grade choir will perform their own holiday favorites. Local gospel band, Center 313 will close out the night with their music of praise and worship.
Saturday, Dec. 10, 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Saturday visitors will see a jam-packed stage of performances from day to night and there will be something for everyone. Several dance troupes will perform, including Miss Persis Studio's famed "Elf Show". Jazz bands, accordion players, a German ballad-singing choir and even a classic Swiss alp-horn performance will be given. Later in the day Mark Glasmire will rock the crowd with his original ballads. Then, to close the night out, Sophia Massad, who began her career performing at the Rodeo Opry will join the festivities of Texas Christkindle to sing her original pop-folk music.
Sunday, Dec. 11, 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Arlington's traveling public library, Literacy Link, will be on-site to provide checkout of children's library materials. Meanwhile, Lady Di & friends will perform. Ray Johnston will also take the stage. If you don't know this band, take advantage of the opportunity to get acquainted with these twangy Texas country songs.
Daily events
- Santa haus - (Open Mon-Thurs 3p.m. to 8p.m., Fri 1p.m. to 8p.m., Sat. 11a.m. to 8p.m. and Sun. 12p.m. to 7p.m.) Visit with St. Nick. Photo packages available for $19.95.
- Arctic blast tubing run - "the closest thing you'll find to snow in DFW". Riders must be at least 40" tall and under 235 lbs. Tickets are available for $3 per ride or $10 for unlimited rides.
- Peppermint Park features children's activities, winter carnival games, crafts, puppet shows and a holiday train ride. Passes are required for entry can be purchased on-site. The park is open Friday, 4pm to 8pm; Saturday, 10am to 8pm; Sunday 12pm to 6 pm until school is out.
