The City of Arlington is accepting applications for interested residents who would like to serve on a Board or Commission.
Members of boards and commissions assist the Mayor and City Council by making recommendations on general policy matters impacting the city. Most boards and commissions function in advisory capacities and some have final decision-making authority. Some may require specialized training and licenses.
The following boards/commissions have vacancies:
- Animal Service Center Advisory Board
- Arlington Higher Education Finance Corporation
- Citizens Environmental Committee
- Community Relations Commission
- Convention and Visitors Bureau Board of Directors
- Ethics Review Commission
- Housing Authority
- Landmark Preservation Commission
- Library Board
- Mechanical and Plumbing Code Board of Appeals
- Park and Recreation Board
- Planning & Zoning Commission
- Special Transportation Advisory Board
- Teen Court Advisory Board
- Zoning Board of Adjustment
Application deadline is Monday, May 4
Interested applicants can apply online or visit the Office of the Mayor and Council on the third floor of City Hall at 101 W. Abram St.
