The City of Arlington is participating in the #ChooseKind City initiative and encourages residents and visitors to participate in acts of kindness leading up to World Kindness Day on Monday, November 13.
Here are 10 easy ways to spread kindness across The American Dream City:
- Give a compliment on social media
- Write a kind note to a family member or friend
- Pay for a stranger's coffee or meal
- Pick up litter
- Volunteer at one of Arlington's nonprofits
- Cook a meal for someone in need
- Share a smile
- Visit a nursing home
- Hold the door open for the person behind you
- Donate blood
As part of our Kindness Initiative, Mayor Jeff Williams has challenged residents to report acts of kindness through the City's free Ask Arlington mobile app, on the Acts of Kindness website, or by posting using #ArlingtonKindness and @CityofArlington over the next year.
