The Arlington Tomorrow Foundation awarded 19 grants worth more than $1.6 million to enhance city services and support charitable causes, according to the charitable endowment's 2017 annual report.
The grants ranged from $12,000 to Meals on Wheels of Tarrant County to provide home-delivered meals in Arlington to $750,000 to support the Arlington Life Shelter's plans to build a second facility that will provide housing, a playground, employment services and more.
The Arlington Tomorrow Foundation, celebrating its 10th anniversary, also awarded $50,000 in grants to Arlington nonprofits in September as part of the annual North Texas Giving Day.
