Art lovers can check out a new exhibit at Arlington Museum of Art in Downtown this weekend! The exhibit contains almost 200 pieces from avant-garde Post-Impressionist artists working in a new French "modern" style. Built around the work of Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec, painter of scenes and artists from the famed Paris theatre the Moulin Rouge, this expansive exhibit will explore the anti-establishment movement among artists seeking alternative means to bring their art to a broad public and break out of the traditional molds. The exhibit is open to the public until Sunday, August 16, 2015.

Fantasy in Sand

Fantasy in Sand featuring The Wonderful Wizard of Oz is a unique family experience that tells the story of characters we all know so well - Dorothy, Toto, the Wizard, the Wicked Witch of the West, the Scarecrow and more - through intricately carved sand sculptures, some of which are 20 feet tall. Tickets are on sale now at Arlington.org/fantasyinsand. General admission tickets are $19.99 with discounts available for kids (ages 11 and under), active military and groups. The experience is located at Parking Lot F by Globe Life Park in Arlington and will run through Sunday, August 23. The experience will stay open late on weekend nights when the Texas Rangers play home games so baseball fans may enjoy both events while in Arlington.
