The City of Dalworthington Gardens will celebrate its 80th anniversary this weekend with a outdoor dinner, bands, softball tournaments and other festivities.
Dalworthington Gardens, which is home to more than 2,000 residents today, was established in 1936.

The Oldtimers Gathering Dinner, 'A Celebration of Generations, ' is open to all ages. Because of limited space, reservations are required. The BBQ dinner is set from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at The Montessori Academy, 3428 W. Arkansas Lane in Dalworthington Gardens. To download a reservation form, visit www.cityofdwg.net.

Following the tournament, family or group teams will begin to play at the newly refurbished field.

4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Activity Booths and hayride
7 p.m. Arlington Community Band
8 p.m. The Uptown Drifters Band
9 p.m. Movie in the Park: 'Finding Nemo ' and popcorn
Kona Ice will be available from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sassy Hot Dogs Food Truck will be available from 3:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.
